Dear Reader,
To quote Hunter S Thompson, “Buy the Ticket, Take the ride”. These are words that have stuck with me since my eyes first ingested them in the 6th grade. Why anyone would give a book about a drug-fueled, hallucinogen addled train-wreck of a human being in the 6th grade is an entirely different story. All the same, these words are powerful.
I am writing this letter to you as a formal announcement about the recent departure of our trusted ax man and friend, Mr. Angel Ibarra. I have had the pleasure and honor of making art, traveling the world, and thrashing faces with him for a third of my life. His decision to leave wasn’t calculated out of greed, mistrust or a malicious intent to get revenge. There comes a point in the career of every musician when he has to decide whether or not to continue on with the traveling sideshow amidst the circus, or settle down and plant some roots. Maybe get a job with health and dental benefits and try to live a “Normal” existence. We wish him the best.
If you're reading this and haven't watched the video attached to it, I wanted to be clear. Aiden will continue to travel around the world and make music that you can punch yourself in the face to. I feel at this point, the recent completion of our record contract with victory has given us the ability to be more creative and do things on our own terms. Which in turn means more tunes, videos and content for all of you to enjoy. We have some big things coming up soon that you will be excited about indeed.
The info for the string of dates we are doing with Wednesday 13 are posted on the tour section of our site. We can’t wait to see you all out on the road!
Buy the ticket, take the ride.
William & Aiden
